About Us

A small family breeding program built on trust and love

Hartman Family

We are a family of six in Upland, California. Our Goldendoodle journey began with Rey, and Scarlett joined our home in 2022. They have brought endless joy, and we’re honored to help other families find the same happiness.

We follow Puppy Culture and BAB breeding protocols to raise confident, healthy, well-socialized puppies. All parents are fully health-tested (hips, elbows, patellas, heart, Embark genetic panel, etc.).

From Our Families

Real words from real homes

“We are so grateful for Taryn (Hartman Goldendoodles) and her amazing family! We brought home our sweet Nico and he is absolutely perfect. He was born in a house where he was loved from the moment sweet Scarlett gave birth to him and it shows. He is confident, smart, and calm when there are loud noises. He came home to us already ctaye trained and has slept through the night. If you are considering getting a Mini Goldendoodle, you will be completely satisfied working with Hartman Goldendoodles.”

Amy, 2026

“We have been searching for a family dog for a while and have connected with many breeders. We had a really hard time finding the right one. After talking with Taryn and seeing how she cared for both mommy and puppies, we were sold!! It was a great experience and even though the puppies were too young to come home, we felt completely connected to the entire experience via all the posts and updates through Instagram. When the time came to bring Sunshine home, I couldn't believe how well behaved she already was. Taryn did a great job at introducing the dogs to different sounds so the puppy wouldn't startle easily and it really paid off because the puppy wasn't even phased by my crazy toddlers. She has made being a new puppy mom so much easier. I felt supported throughout the entire process. Hartman Goldendoodles isn't just breeding dogs, they are nurturing future family members.”

LeoGrande Family, 2022

“We are so thrilled with our wonderful dog, Penny, from Hartman Goldendoodles. Penny is such a sweet dog, and I think it has a lot to do with how well taken care of and loved she was with the Hartmans. Penny is incredibly healthy and well adjusted. Even her vet has been amazed at how friendly and laid back she is. Additionally, Taryn made the puppy adoption process very personalized and easy to understand. She was very open with communication, and answered all of my questions while we went through the adoption process. My family really appreciated being able to meet the puppies and then continue to get updates until Penny was old enough to come home. We definitely recommend Hartman Goldendoodles for anyone who wants a happy and healthy doodle to add to their family!”

Frequently Asked Questions

How do deposits work?

A $500 deposit is required for us to reserve a puppy for you. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another litter. Deposits can be transferred to another litter for up to two years. You will be placed at the bottom of the desired litter's reservation list. Since we are always waiting on nature for our girls to go into heat and pups to be born, the esitmated litter maybe earlier or later than planned. It could be 3-6 month later/earlier than planned. Once you fill out the adoption application, we will email and/or text you about a deposit. We prefer using Venmo or Zelle when making the deposit.

What is Pet Insurance/Trupanion?

All of our puppies receive a month of Trupanion Pet Insurance when they leave us.
*Pet insurance voucher must be activated by new puppy owners

Where are you located?

We are located in Upland, California. We will give you our specific location if you choose to come pick up your puppy when the time comes.

What delivery options do you offer if I don't live near Southern California?

Flight Nanny - A flight Nanny would carry your puppy in a soft travel crate with her/him in the airplane cabin. There are a couple different flight nanny options. First, my husband or I could be your flight nanny. In this case, the price would be the cost of round trip airfare from Ontario International Airport or an Orange County Airline, the airline’s pet travel fee (usually around $150), plus a delivery fee of $300. We provide the crate, treats and lots of snuggles and comfort for the puppy while he/she is flying. Second, you could go through a professional flight nanny service. We have several recommendations of reliable flight nanny services. Either way, we will work with you to figure out the best way to get your puppy to you!
Meet us at the Ontario International Airport or Any Orange County Airline - If you prefer to do the flying we are happy to meet you at the Ontario International Airport with your puppy. If you have ever wanted to visit the beaches of SoCal, take a visit to Disneyland, or just soak in the sun. We can provide the puppy carrier and needed supplies for your journey home for $50. Please check airline policy on animal transport when booking your flight. They can be tricky. Airlines change their policies so frequently that it is impossible for me to keep track of them! The best policy is to always double check the rules for your specific flight.
*We do not send puppies on their own in the cargo area of the plane.

How do I adopt a puppy?

The Short Answer:
1- Fill out adoption form
2- Pay $500 deposit (non-refundable) and complete the Puppy Breeding Contract. Download!
3- Wait anxiously and watch the adorable videos and picture updates of the puppies (found on our instagram)
4- Full Payment due at 8 weeks and puppy goes home with you!
The Long Answer:
It is best to first check the puppy reservation list on this page and see if there are puppies available from the litter you are interested in and ask any questions you may need to feel secure that one of these puppies is a good match for you by emailing us. Once you have confirmed that there is a puppy available you can fill out the adoption form on our website. There is a $500 non-refundable deposit to reserve a puppy. You can either send the deposit using Venmo, Zelle, or pay with cash.
Once the puppies are born we send videos and update pictures of the puppies at approx. 2 weeks, 4 weeks and 6 weeks of age. It is so very fun to watch the puppies grow and develop! Around 6 weeks of age we do final puppy choices - Picking Your Puppy
Full payment is due by 8 weeks of age before puppy goes home with you. We accept payments in cash, Venmo, or Zelle. We then arrange shipping or pick up for the puppy. Puppy then goes home!

What if I can't pick up my puppy during the pick up window?

Every litter has a pickup window of 7 days. Those who are adopting will be given explicit notice of this window. If you cannot pick up your pup during this window, extended puppy care is available beyond those dates for $40 per day.

Do you require my puppy to be spayed/neutered?
